Join Midpen partner, Latino Outdoors, on Saturday, April 2nd for a family friendly Wildflower Walk at Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve at 9:00am.
Participants will leisurely walk along the Ridge Trail to Borel Hill, offering breathtaking views of both the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay and lush grasslands. Frequent stops will be made to make observations of and learn about the folklore, medicinal uses, and biology of the wildflowers and plants. After the hike, participants have the option to join in a tissue flower making activity, participate in a giveaway, and enjoy some empanadas!
Things to note:
- The trail is an easy, out and back 1.8 total miles with about 315 ft in elevation.
- The trail is exposed and has no shade. Please bring sun protection (sun screen/hat).
- Pets are not allowed.
- The trail is used by bicyclists, hikers, and horses.

Where to Meet
Meet at the Russian Ridge Parking Area on the northwest corner of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection (across Skyline Blvd. on the right). Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 40 minutes travel time.
