9:30 am - 11:30 am
Ravenswood Preserve

Join Latino Outdoors and Midpen for a Nature Exploration Walk at Ravenswood Preserve. We will explore Ravenswood Open Space Preserve and make frequent stops to make observations of the plants and animals we find along the way. This will be an easy walk on an accessible trail. Everyone is welcome!

This weekend is also the City Nature Challenge 2023! The City Nature Challenge (CNC) has grown into an international event, motivating people around the world to find and document wildlife and nature in and around their cities, by using apps and platforms like iNaturalist. Together, we'll learn a little bit more about this international challenge and how we can participate!

Things to note:

  • Please be on time! We'll meet at the far end of Bay Rd here.
  • Pets are NOT allowed.
  • We'll provide snacks and a light lunch!
  • Please bring comfortable clothing and shoes, plenty of water, and binoculars if you have them.

Please visit the registration page on Eventbrite for more information.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Aurora at aurora.cortes@latinooutdoors.org

Where to Meet

Meet at the Ravenswood Parking Area. From Highway 101, exit on University Avenue. Follow University Ave. north (about four long blocks) to Bay Road.  Turn right on Bay Rd. and follow it to the very end (about 1.2 miles).  The preserve entrance and parking lot are marked with large signs.
