3.7 Community Event
Join Midpen partner Latino Outdoors for their Amor y Amistad Hiking Adventure on Sunday, February 11th at 9:30am at Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve.
Diverse plant communities, miles of forest edge, and abundant springs make Russian Ridge an outstanding habitat for wildlife. The steep forested canyons create a secure refuge for a tremendous variety of animals. Join us to learn nature's amor y amistad relationships, like the mutualistic relationship of lichens, and the preserve's animals mating habits.
Things to keep in mind:
- The hike is 3.7 miles with 670 ft in elevation gain, it could be considered a moderately challenging route. Check out the trail here.
- No pets allowed.
- We will provide a light lunch and snacks!
- This is a busy preserve, please arrive early to find parking. We'll be meeting at the Russian Ridge Preserve Parking lot off of the 35 and Alpine Rd.
