In 2006, Curt Riffle was appointed to the board of directors and has continuously served since then as the director for Ward 4 (Los Altos and Mountain View). Curt has worked 17 years as a land conservation professional, first with the David and Lucile Packard Foundation (2003-2016) and then with the Peninsula Open Space Trust (2016-2020). He has also dedicated over 30 years to public service serving on local and county committees, commissions and boards. In addition to his position on the board of directors, Curt also serves as a member of the Midpen Volunteer Trail Patrol.
Curt and his wife Karen have lived in Los Altos and Mountain View for more than 37 years. Having first experienced Midpen preserves in the mid-1970s, Curt visits them at least weekly. He’s a hiker, trail runner, equestrian, dog hiker and mountain biker. Curt earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering degree from the University of Cincinnati, and an MBA from Harvard University. Prior to becoming a land conservation professional, Curt held multiple positions with the Hewlett-Packard Company.
