Born in New Jersey, Craig Gleason moved overseas with his family at an early age. After spending most of his childhood in Belgium, Craig attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Craig spent 18 years with Hewlett Packard research and development in Colorado and California. In 2003, he and six colleagues spun out Synfora Inc. to build products based on a software technology originally developed by HP Labs, which was then acquired by Synopsys in 2010.
Craig and his wife Teresa live in Los Gatos, generally with one or more Great Danes. They have two adult daughters.
As a volunteer trail builder, land steward and avid hiker, mountain biker and dog walker, Craig spends a good part of his free time in open space. He also serves on the Los Gatos Parks Commission. Prior to joining the board, Craig advocated with Midpen’s board and staff to improve experiences for all user groups on Midpen’s trails. He remains dedicated to that goal in addition to improving human health, well-being and great open space experiences, connecting people to the land and to Midpen’s preservation and restoration mission.
