Long Ridge Preserve

4.3Join Midpen partner, Latino Outdoors, for a winter solstice hike at Long Ridge Open Space Preserve on Saturday, December 21 at 10:00AM.
This 4.3 mile loop trail winds through a little valley to the headwaters of Peters Creek, and then emerges onto a ridge with striking views of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
This trail features beautiful oak woodlands, and we might even find some mushrooms coming out this season.
Things to note:
There are NO restrooms at the trailhead, please plan ahead. There is a restroom at a neighboring preserve, 2 miles away.
Dogs are not permitted on the trails we'll be on.

Where to Meet
Meet at Peters Creek Roadside Parking, on the west side of Skyline Boulevard, 3.6 miles north of Highway 9 or 3.3 miles south of Page Mill Road. If you are coming from the north on Skyline Blvd., the pullout is just past Portola Heights Road on the right. From the south, the pullout is near the Palo Alto city limits sign on the right. There is additional parking across Skyline Blvd. at the Grizzly Flat trailhead (Santa Clara County Park).
