Observe wintering birds with Docent Naturalists Melissa Hero, Chris MacIntosh, and Nick Yatsko on a leisurely-paced loop hike around Sausal Pond on the Betsy Crowder and Spring Ridge trails. You may see sapsuckers, waxwings, ducks, warblers, raptors, and more. Bring binoculars if you have them.

Where to Meet

The Lower Windy Hill Parking Area at the lower portion of the preserve is located on Portola Road. Please note: This parking lot fills quickly. Please do not park on Portola Road: parking is strictly enforced.
