Enjoy hiking the Rancho San Antonio trails with Docent Naturalists Nancy Weintraub, Marie Faust Evitt, and Catherine Xun on this moderately-paced, exercise-focused hike. You’ll help choose which 6-to-7.5-mile route to take depending on the weather, trail conditions, and how you feel. Highlights may include Wildcat Creek, scenic views, and hill climbs. Depending on the route you decide, you may hike through grasslands, oak and bay woodlands, chapparal, and/or riparian habitats. Bring a snack for a short break.
Meet near the restroom at the bottom of the hill in the preserve parking lot farthest to the right. From I-280, take Foothill Boulevard south and turn right almost immediately onto Cristo Rey Drive. Continue about 1 mile, veer right around the traffic circle, and turn left into the park. After entering the preserve, turn right and drive approximately 0.3 miles to Lot 6.
