10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Skyline Ridge Preserve
Approximate Total Miles
0.5

Explore the "Easy Access" Alpine Loop Trail around Alpine Pond whether you're in a wheelchair, use a walker, or are on foot. Docent Naturalists Ann Reisenauer, Noa Doitel, Mary Bernstein, and Maureen Draper will guide you on this leisurely-paced walk-and-roll to notice signs of the season, discover plants with traditional uses, and learn about the water cycle. You'll enjoy the sights and sounds of birds, trees, native herbaceous plants, and habitats from mixed evergreen forest to riparian. Bring a lunch so you can snack at the picnic tables by the pond.

Where to Meet

For this activity at Skyline Ridge Preserve, meet at the Russian Ridge Parking Area on the northwest corner of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection (across Skyline Blvd. on the right). Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 40 minutes travel time.
