Bring your own horse and join equestrian docent naturalist Teri Baron and an assistant equestrian trail patrol volunteer on a quest for the summit of Mt. Umunhum. Beautiful views abound on this ride. Wildflowers should be abundant. Bring your picnic lunch to eat at the top. Horses should be fit and in good shape for the up and down trail. Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after May 3 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close May 13 at 2:00 p.m.

Where to Meet

For this activity at Sierra Azul, park in the equestrian lot at Almaden Quicksilver County Park. The Wood Road entrance is accessed off Hicks Road. From Highway 85 take the Camden Avenue exit south. Turn right on Hicks Road and follow for 6 miles. At the intersection of Wood Road and Hicks Road, turn left into the staging / parking area for the county park.
