April 24, 2025
9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Picchetti Ranch Preserve
Approximate Total Miles
7.5

Trail Treks, scheduled on the fourth Thursday, provide exercise-focused hikes and opportunities to discover Midpen's beautiful preserves.

Look for wildflowers on this moderately-paced hike with Docent Naturalists Bobbie Riedel, Nick Yatsko, and Nancy Weintraub on trails renowned for winding through colorful springtime blossoms. You’ll hike the Zinfandel Trail to Stevens Canyon Road and continue into Fremont Older Preserve on this two-preserve trek. Bring lunch for a stop at the Sycamore Picnic Area before returning to the Picchetti Winery.

Where to Meet

Meet at the preserve parking lot on Montebello Road. From the intersection of I-280 and Foothill Expressway, go 3.5 miles southwest (toward the mountains) on Foothill Boulevard/Stevens Canyon Road.  Turn right on Montebello Rd.  The preserve is 0.5 miles up Montebello Rd. on the left.
