Learn about this preserve’s long history with Docent Naturalists Nancy Weintraub, Helena Cohen, and Bobbie Riedel on a moderately-paced loop trek along the Bay Area Ridge Trail, including the Peters Creek and Long Ridge trails. While hiking amid shady mixed evergreen woodlands, steep canyons, and grassy ridges, you’ll discuss how these lands have been tended by the Ohlone people and how they are protected for future generations. You’ll have an opportunity to appreciate long views westward across thousands of acres of forested land at the Wallace Stegner Memorial Bench during a snack stop.
