Join docent naturalists Ann Reisenauer, Susan Bernhard, and Patty Lovelace for a moderately-paced hike along the Mindego Hill, Charquin, and Ancient Oaks trails. You’ll enjoy the approaching dusk and twilight changes while listening, observing, and reflecting on nature’s rhythms. As the hike ends, you are welcome to enjoy your own snack and a sunset view from the stunning vista overlook a short distance from the parking lot. 

Where to Meet

Meet at the Mindego Gateway Parking Area on Alpine Road.  From I-280, exit Page Mill Road and head west. Drive about 9 miles to the junction with Skyline Boulevard, cross over Skyline Blvd. and on to Alpine Road. Continue on Alpine Rd. for 1.5 miles. Parking area is on the right. Allow 45 minutes travel time from I-280.
