Learn a few fun facts about the history of this preserve and the Picchetti family. Docent Naturalists Bill and Marilyn Bauriedel and June Cancell will help you identify some bird species by their calls and songs along the Zinfandel, Orchard Loop and Vista trails at a leisurely pace. Docents will demonstrate some phone apps that can assist with bird identification.

Where to Meet

Meet at the preserve parking lot on Montebello Road. From the intersection of I-280 and Foothill Expressway, go 3.5 miles southwest (toward the mountains) on Foothill Boulevard/Stevens Canyon Road.  Turn right on Montebello Rd.  The preserve is 0.5 miles up Montebello Rd. on the left.
