Hike a scenic loop encompassing four different preserves with Docent Naturalists Nancy Weintraub, Annie Guo, and Katie Wilson. On this moderately-paced trek along a segment of the Bay Area Ridge Trail, you’ll visit Monte Bello, Coal Creek, Russian Ridge, and Skyline Ridge preserves. You’ll experience breathtaking views, late blooming wildflowers, and diverse landscapes while learning about the cultural and natural history of these areas. Bring a snack. (Note: This hike is for those comfortable with "long distance hiking": 7.5 miles/1,250 feet at 2.5 miles per hour.)
Meet at the Skyline Ridge Circle Parking Area on Skyline Boulevard located one mile south of the Skyline Blvd. (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection. After entering the preserve, turn right and go to the farthest parking area. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 45 minutes travel time.
