Join Docent Naturalists Inga Buyse, Fran Keeler, Lindsay Joye and Mary Brunkhorst for a moderately-paced, exercise-focused hike on trails with beautiful scenery. Scenic Aerobic hikes are offered at different preserves every second Wednesday of the month. The route of each hike will be determined by the docents based on current trail and weather conditions.
Please note: Mount Umunhum is one of the 4 landmark mountains of the Bay Area and has superb views on clear days. The mountain has its own extreme weather pattern which can be unpredictable and harsh and is often very different from the valley. Dress appropriately in layers.
You'll hike from Bald Mountain to the summit and carpool back to Bald Mountain. Carpools will be arranged for the return drive. You have the option of extending your hike by walking back down the trail.
