Head out with Docent Naturalists Bobbie Riedel, Nancy Weintraub, and Nick Yatsko to explore a closed central portion of this preserve on this moderately-paced hike. You'll learn how conservation grazing supports the management and recovery of grassland habitats and visit a pond that is home to two rare animal species. You’ll experience the quiet of a redwood forest and listen to the gurgling La Honda Creek, all with expansive views along the way. Bring a snack for a short break by the creek. (Note: A large section of this hike is on a rough unimproved trail with some exposed and steep uphill sections.) Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after February 21 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close March 6 at 2:00 p.m.
