Enjoy the trails on this "Lucky Seven" hike with Docent Naturalists Nancy Weintraub, Jumana Latif, and Nick Yatsko. This moderately-paced, exercise-focused ramble will traverse oak woodland and chaparral habitats on 7-ish special trails for 7-ish miles, including the Hill, Stephen E. Abbors, Upper Wildcat Canyon, High Meadow, Wildcat Loop ("Seven Switchbacks"), Rogue Valley, and Lower Meadow trails. Bring a snack for the trail. (Note: This hike is for individuals who are comfortable climbing 1100-feet with a "long distance hiking" pace of 2.5 miles per hour.)
Meet near the restroom at the bottom of the hill in the preserve parking lot farthest to the right. From I-280, take Foothill Boulevard south and turn right almost immediately onto Cristo Rey Drive. Continue about 1 mile, veer right around the traffic circle, and turn left into the park. After entering the preserve, turn right and drive approximately 0.3 miles to Lot 6.
