Why are there peacocks at Picchetti? Look for these ostentatious birds along the Bear Meadow and Orchard Loop trails with Docent Naturalists Bobbie Riedel, Sabra Abraham, and Nancy Weintraub while you learn the history of this unique preserve. At the end of the hike, on your own you'll have the option to enjoy your packed lunch at the picnic tables or a little wine tasting at the Picchetti Winery.

Where to Meet

Meet at the preserve parking lot on Montebello Road. From the intersection of I-280 and Foothill Expressway, go 3.5 miles southwest (toward the mountains) on Foothill Boulevard/Stevens Canyon Road.  Turn right on Montebello Rd.  The preserve is 0.5 miles up Montebello Rd. on the left.
