Now Be Thankful

Rancho San Antonio Preserve
Approximate Total Miles
7.5

How often do we remember to say “I appreciate you” to the non-human natural world amid our hectic day-to-day lives? Ring in the month of harvest and giving thanks on this moderately-paced, thoughtful and inspiring hike in Midpen’s most popular preserve. Interpretive Specialist Katie Renz and Docent Naturalists Catherine Xun, Annette Herz, and Katie Wilson will lead a couple of activities and discussions to get us in the benevolent spirit of the season. Bring a lunch, a journal or blank paper, something to write with, and, if you wish, a poem to share relevant to the season or theme.

Where to Meet

Meet near the restroom at the bottom of the hill in the preserve parking lot farthest to the right. From I-280, take Foothill Boulevard south and turn right almost immediately onto Cristo Rey Drive. Continue about 1 mile, veer right around the traffic circle, and turn left into the park. After entering the preserve, turn right and drive approximately 0.3 miles to Lot 6

To ensure your experience on a docent naturalist outing is enjoyable please review these activity guidelines.

If your activity requires registration, please be sure to cancel your reservation (from your confirmation email) if you are no longer able to attend so others can participate.

After your participation on a guided activity please share your feedback — your input is meaningful to our volunteers and program staff – thank you!
