Plants and animals interact in infinite ways. On this leisurely-paced hike with Docent Naturalists Olga and Tony Bright, you’ll learn about the bounty resulting from some of those relationships—specifically fruits and oak galls. Which plants provide berries and how have they been used by humans throughout our history? What are oak galls, why are they important, and in what ways are they a useful resource for humans? This activity is appropriate for attentive and engaged children capable of hiking two miles.
