Enjoy a leisurely-paced, family-friendly walk on the Betsy Crowder and Spring Ridge trails around Sausal Pond to discover the abundant berries found in this habitat with Docent Naturalists Olga and Tony Bright. Using photos of different local plants, you’ll be able to search for specific trees and berries on this outdoor treasure hunt. You’ll appreciate these fruits in a new way after learning about how they are used by both humans and other animals.

Where to Meet

The Lower Windy Hill Parking Area at the lower portion of the preserve is located on Portola Road. Please note: This parking lot fills quickly. Please do not park on Portola Road: parking is strictly enforced.
