Grab your binoculars and join Docent Naturalists Laura Levin, Emma Finter, and Marie-Anne Neimat for this leisurely-paced birding walk on the Stevens Creek and Levee trails. You’ll identify resident and migratory water birds and shorebirds as you scan the wetlands and mudflats of San Francisco Bay. You’ll also watch for raptors attracted by abundant prey. Along the way, you’ll learn about the plants and wildlife that thrive in salt marsh habitat.
Meet in the “Kite Area” parking lot at Shoreline-at-Mountain View Park. From Highway 101, take Shoreline Boulevard east to the Shoreline Park entrance. After passing the entrance kiosk, turn right into the parking lot.
