Enjoy hiking the trails with a "Lucky Seven" route with Docent Naturalists Nancy Weintraub, Nick Yatsko, and Ann McCarty. This moderately-paced, light-exercise-focused hike will take you along the Coyote Trail to Deer Hollow Farm to learn about how Measure AA funding contributed to the educational charter of the farm. You’ll continue onto the Rogue Valley Trail and traverse the oak and bay canopies up the Wildcat Loop Trail (less than a 600-foot climb along the “Seven Switchbacks”) to take in a view of the bay. You’ll stay cool on the return down the shady Wildcat Loop Trail back to the Coyote Trail.
Meet near the restroom at the bottom of the hill in the preserve parking lot farthest to the right. From I-280, take Foothill Boulevard south and turn right almost immediately onto Cristo Rey Drive. Continue about 1 mile, veer right around the traffic circle, and turn left into the park. After entering the preserve, turn right and drive approximately 0.3 miles to Lot 6.
