"You'll be sitting by the dock of the bay, watching the birds come your way; sitting by the dock of the bay, watching the tides..."

Docent naturalists Karen DeMello and Kay Partelow invite you to join them for a quiet morning of shared discovery. You’ll learn about tides and rails (a type of bird) while sitting near the salt marsh a short distance from the parking lot. To be comfy, bring something to sit on and/or a portable chair (optional), and a blanket for warmth. This is will be a very short out and back walk with a focus on observation and discussion for adults and interested children. Bring binoculars if you have them. Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after January 16 and close January 28 at 2:00 p.m.

Where to Meet

Meet at the Ravenswood Parking Area. From Highway 101, exit on University Avenue. Follow University Ave. north (about four long blocks) to Bay Road.  Turn right on Bay Rd. and follow it to the very end (about 1.2 miles).  The preserve entrance and parking lot are marked with large signs.
