Join Docent Naturalists Sarah Schoen and Kim Borick to search for geocaches, or hidden treasures, using supplied GPS units. This fun and interactive outing is great for all ages. You're encouraged to bring small trinkets (inexpensive toys, less than 2 inches in length are ideal) to use as trade items for the cache. This activity is an introduction to geocaching and is geared toward the first-time geocacher, but all are welcome.
(Note: This activity includes some off-trail hiking; long pants are recommended and closed-toe shoes are required.) Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after November 4 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close November 17 at 2:00 p.m.
For this activity at Skyline Ridge Preserve, meet at the Russian Ridge Parking Area on the northwest corner of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection (across Skyline Blvd. on the right). Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 40 minutes travel time.
