The allure of spring flowers; the love of literature; the delight of whimsy. Celebrate May Day by ambling the Sunny Jim and Ipiwa trails with Docent Naturalists Bobbie Riedel and Jumana Latif in search of wildflowers. You'll learn some of their names and wonder about literary allusions that celebrate these symbols of spring. This is a moderately-paced hike with several stops, including lunch at Alpine Pond.

Where to Meet

Meet at the Skyline Ridge Circle Parking Area on Skyline Boulevard located one mile south of the Skyline Blvd. (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection. After entering the preserve, turn right and go to the farthest parking area. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 45 minutes travel time.
