Join Docent Naturalists John Seyfarth, Debbie Mytels, and Strether Smith for a fun and educational hike along the San Andreas Fault. You'll observe the impact of plate tectonics on the Skyline landscape, spot spring wildflowers, learn stories of Monte Bello history before the creation of Midpen, and enjoy impressive ridge top views. (Note: Families with engaged children who are attentive listeners and capable of hiking several miles are welcome on this leisurely-paced outing with minimal elevation change.)
Meet at Los Trancos Parking Area on Page Mill Road (across from Monte Bello Preserve), 7 miles west of I-280 or 1.5 miles east of Skyline Boulevard. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 35 minutes travel time.
