Celebrate the autumnal equinox with Docent Naturalists Bobbie Riedel, Marie Faust Evitt, and Nancy Weintraub. On this moderately-paced hike you'll take in expansive views as you follow the Hickory Oaks and Long Ridge Road trails to emerge at each of the preserve's three hilltop benches. Pack a snack to enjoy as the sun starts to set on Turtle Rock before heading back amid the glow of the sunset. (Note: there is limited roadside parking at the Hickory Oaks entrance; please carpool.) Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after September 8 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close September 20 at 2:00 p.m.

Where to Meet

Meet at Hickory Oaks Roadside Parking; 5.1 miles south of Page Mill Road or 1.3 miles north of Highway 9 on the west side of Skyline Boulevard.
