Experience a guided “Community Field Day” in the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District’s newest preserve: Cloverdale Ranch. Midpen Docent Naturalists will guide you through coastal grasslands and highlight the rich community of plants and wildlife present in this open space and the role conservation grazing plays. On this out-and-back, 3-mile route you'll walk on mostly flat terrain until you reach one steep section up to “High Hill”, a scenic hilltop. After taking in the panoramic views overlooking the preserve and beyond, you’ll descend and return to the parking area with your docents. Midpen Staff will provide information about Midpen’s work on the Coastside and how Cloverdale Ranch is becoming the newest Midpen preserve.
A Spanish-speaking Midpen ranger will be participating in these activities for those whose experience can be enhanced by having translation available.
Note: Directions will be sent; preserve is in Pescadero area on the Coastside). Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after June 15 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close July 6.
