Want to learn about bats? Find out about local bat species, their ecological importance, and how you can help protect them. Midpen staff Doungchai Burriss, Ellen Tjosvold, and Jeff Butterworth will be your guides on a leisurely-paced stroll to a spot to circle up for some fun facts about bats. As the sun sets, you'll be near the Daniels Nature Center to see whether bats appear over Alpine Pond, returning to your car before darkness sets in. Bring layered clothing to stay warm, and binoculars if you have them. Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after August 1 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close August 14 at 2:00 p.m.
