INFORMATIONAL FIELD TRIP

For members of the public who would like to attend this meeting, District vehicles will depart at 9:30AM from Midpen’s Administrative Office located at 5050 El Camino Real, Los Altos, CA 94022. The District vehicles will travel to Rancho San Antonio County Park & Open Space Preserve, Bear Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve, and Lenihan Dam, including areas currently closed to the public, for the field trip and presentation. Seats in the District vehicles are limited; it will be first come, first served. Please RSVP to Loana Lumina at 650-691-1200 by 12:30p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022, so that the District may arrange sufficient transportation between locations.

Meeting Agenda

The Bond Oversight Committee (Committee) will be driving to project sites at Rancho San Antonio County Park & Open Space Preserve, Bear Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve, and Lenihan Dam. The Committee will be receiving a presentation from staff regarding the types of projects completed and planned by the District. The field trip will take place between 10:00 am and 3:15 pm. The sites are listed below and any stops are noted as such.

10:00 Rancho San Antonio County Park & Open Space Preserve – Lot 1

10:15 Depart in District Vehicles and Drive to Rancho San Antonio County Park & Open Space Preserve – Deer Hollow Farm

- Walking Tour of Deer Hollow Farm

10:45 Depart and drive to Bear Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve

11:25 Arrival at Bear Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve
- Walking Tour of Alma Cultural Landscape, Invasives Work, Native Plant Installation, Restoration Work

1:00 District Vehicles Depart and Receive Driving Tour Bear Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve Phase II Trail Improvements, and continue Drive to Lenihan Dam

1:40 Arrival at Lenihan Dam
- Receive Presentation on Highway 17 Crossings and Trail Connections

2:20 Depart and drive to Lexington Dam Miller Point Picnic Area

2:30 Arrival at Lexington Dam Miller Point Picnic Area
- Receive Presentation on Beatty Parking & Trail Connections Project
- Receive Presentation on Alma Bridge Road Newt Passage Project
