2018 Election Results
Karen Holman won retiring Ward 5 Director Nonette Hanko’s seat representing residents in the Palo Alto area, and incumbent Pete Siemens will continue representing Ward 1 residents in the South Bay area.
Holman is a former Palo Alto city councilmember and mayor. She fills a board seat that was held by Nonette Hanko for 46 consecutive years, since Midpen was created by voters in 1972. Hanko, who was instrumental in founding the organization, chose to retire at the end of her term in 2018.
This is Siemens' seventh term on Midpen’s board since being elected in 1992.
