Midpen is partnering with The Trail Center and the Ridge Trail Council to participate in and celebrate the annual Ridge Trail Day! Advance registration is required through the Ridge Trail Council; please see additional information below.

Ridge Trail Day is the Ridge Trail Council’s largest event, with hundreds of volunteers participating around the region. The Ridge Trail Council partners with REI Co-op and local land managers to host multiple volunteer trail projects to build and improve sections of the Ridge Trail with various agencies.

For this project, join Midpen and The Trail Center to prepare the Ridge Trail in Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve for winter rain. Tasks will include clearing out water bars, widening sections of the trail, and more. Ages 14 and up are welcome to participate. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Check in / Arrival: 8:30AM.
Project hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
Meeting location will be available with registration.

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED - space is limited and these popular projects fill quickly. Registration is through the Ridge Trail Council starting September 19. Information about how to register will be posted on their website HERE.
(Update, October 4. Please note: This project is FULL, but please visit the Ridge Trail Council link above to see other available opportunities on Ridge Trail Day!)
